About The Web Connector Project

Neighborhoods - The Portland Web Connector Project

What is the Portland Web Connector Project?

It is a joint effort between Portland neighborhood associations and the City of Portland. The City of Portland’s website receives thousands of visitors each day and we believe that the Internet is a powerful tool for community building and citizen participation. Our goal is to share information quickly and to effectively develop a citywide online community.

We are interested in partnering with existing or developing neighborhood associations, homeowners groups and civic organizations.

What services are provided by the City to the associations?

Basic web content development, list server email, event calendars and web hosting.
  1. The City of Portland provides space on its website for neighborhood associations to post current events. Neighborhood Associations are created and controlled by their members, not by the City. The City does not verify and is not responsible for the accuracy or content of the information that they post on the City’s website. The City of Portland reserves the right to remove posted information at any time.
