The Barron Center offers many services dedicated to the care and comfort of the residents we serve. We promote a creative atmosphere while respecting privacy, comfort, and quality of life.
Our Skilled/Rehabilitation service is focused on short-term rehabilitation. Often, after a hospital stay additional therapy or education related to specific illnesses, care, or medication may be needed before going home. Our experienced staff is trained to fill the gap between the residents’ hospital stay and home care. We have an integrated team approach with the goal to prepare the resident to return home safely as soon as possible.
Our long-term care neighborhoods are designed to meet the needs of our elders, encouraging residents to achieve their highest level of independence and function integrating a team approach. We are dedicated to advancing excellence in long term care and culture change and believe in the rights of self-determination, participation in care, and activity choices. The philosophy of the Barron Center is to provide care in a manner that is self-directed and recognizes the unique value of each person with the purpose of preserving and enhancing the individual’s quality of life.
Barron Center II is our secure 50 bed long-term care neighborhood for individuals afflicted with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias. Our staff is specially trained and care is centered around the resident’s past history and present goals. Our integrated team validates residents’ feelings as they enter their reality, while providing a safe environment. Residents may participate in a variety of activities designed to cognitively engage the residents while having fun. Family support groups are also offered as a source of comfort, education, and learning together.
