There are loans, grants, rebates, and programs available for homeowners and business owners to make improvements to their buildings through City of Portland programs and programs available through the State. Other credits and deductions are available through the federal tax system.
PACE The City of Portland City Council approved the PACE ordinance on October 18, 2010 (Chapter 6, Article 8 of the City’s Ordinance) and has contracted with Efficiency Maine to administer the PACE program. Contact Efficiency Maine for more information on the PACE program and how to participate.

Maine Housing Energy Assistance Programs Income qualifying residents may be eligible for the Maine State Housing Authority Energy Assistance Program including the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), weatherization program, and appliance replacement program.
