The Elder Arts program provides visual arts classes (painting, drawing, clay, collage, and more) for seniors at a very low cost or free. Offers classes at senior housing complexes around the city and at other community sites. Ongoing classes are held on Mondays at Franklin Towers, from 10 a.m. to noon, and on Thursdays at Harbor Terrace, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., until April 2005. In addition, intergenerational visual arts and cooking classes are held at locations around Portland. Please call for more information.
