Troubh Ice Arena Hockey Skills Skaters are introduced to balance, flow, agility, speed, and correct skating technique. Introduction includes stick handling (no pucks). Hockey skates, sticks, and helmets with a facemask are required. Skaters with no ice skating experience MUST first enroll in a basic skills class. Skaters with rudimentary forward crossovers and LOWER skills are Intro/Level I. Skaters able to execute forward crossovers and higher skills are classified as advanced (level II and III)
Old Timers Hockey League Greater Portland Old-timers Hockey League (GPOHL) was formed for the benefit of all adult (age 35+) hockey players. All teams play with similar rules which include no checking, no slap shots and without referees. Contact Gordon Wakelin at 207-846-9640 for information.
Casco Bay Hockey Association A youth hockey program for ages 5 – 18, Casco Bay Hockey Association age divisions skate approximately twice a week including both practices and games. Break the Ice, Initiation, Mites, Squirts, PeeWees, Bantams, and Midgets are divisions within the program and are broken down by birthdate. High School Hockey
Troubh Ice Arena is home ice to four local high schools. Portland/Deering, Cheverus, South Portland, and Cape Elizabeth all call PIA home. Games are played on Wednesday afternoons, Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoon/evenings from December to February. Most schools have both boys & girls teams and include a Junior Varsity and middle school-age program.

Having a body that feels great because it can perform at higher levels gives you more confidence and day-to-day enjoyment. What we are about is empowerment.
