Forest Avenue Night Work Starts June 11 For Two Weeks

Beginning Tuesday, June 11, 2019, the City and Portland Water District's Bedford Street Sewer Separation project and water main replacement project will begin night work to repair utility trenches within the Forest Avenue-Bedford Street and Baxter Blvd. Intersection.  Motorists should use extreme caution and expect delays when driving through the work zone.  

IMPORTANT INFO FOR MOTORISTS: Lane reductions in the intersection will be implemented nightly between 7pm and 7am while the night work is occurring.  The contractor will be required to have all lanes within the intersection opened back up by 7am each morning.   The night work is scheduled to last approximately 2 weeks.  

The contractor will be working within this zone between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR PEDESTRIANS:  The contractor will be adjusting sidewalk crossings to complete the work.  Please follow the signage.

SEEK ALTERNATE ROUTE, IF POSSIBLE, TO AVOID DELAYS

Motorists are urged, if possible, to seek alternate routes into and around this area for the duration of the project.
