New Development Review Project Notices

667 Congress Street

To residents and property owners: Redfern Properties LLC, on behalf of MSD Properties LLC, has submitted an application seeking a zoning map amendment at 667 Congress Street. The site is currently zoned Downtown Business B-3 along Congress Street and the Residential R-6 zone encompasses the rear portion of the lot. The application is to rezone the rear portion of the lot from R-6 to B-3. The applicant seeks the zone change in order to redevelop the site with a 7 to 8 story building with approximately 130 rental units, a retail store on the first level, and parking under and behind the building.

In accordance with the Portland Land Use Ordinance, notices of receipt of a map amendment application must be sent to property owners within 500 ft. of the map amendment (or 1,000 feet if the map amendment is located in an Industrial Zone).

You will be notified of future Planning Board meetings by receiving notices from the Planning Division prior to any workshops or public hearings. Plans are available for viewing in the Portland Planning Division, 4th Floor, City Hall.
