Telecommunicator Cheryl Brewster

Telecommunicator Cheryl Brewster grew up in Union, ME, a small Midcoast town. She graduated from St. Joseph's College in 2000, with a BA in sociology with a criminal justice concentration. During her senior year at SJC, she interned at the Portland Police Department in the Community Policing Division, and never left. After college, she was a summer cadet and then started in dispatch that fall. Currently, she is a supervisor in the Communications Division. Cheryl is a R.A.D. (Rape Agression Defense) Instructor, part of the Peer Support team, and a member of the 9-1-1 Education Committee. She is the founder of the City of Portland Fill-A-Backpack Challenge.
