On Wednesday, December 6, join Friends of Lincoln Park at precisely 5:30 PM when Pandora LaCasse flips the switch that will activate the latest of her brilliant designs, bringing lights to Lincoln Park for the first time in its history.

Pandora's designs have been lighting up Portland for many winter seasons, and the Friends are thrilled to be welcoming her newest creation to Lincoln Park. Come early and admire your newly-restored park!

The new display by Pandora LaCasse Design expands her city-wide display of winter installations by bringing them to the east side of the city, and thereby continuing initiatives to make Lincoln Park a vibrant city park once again.

About Lincoln Park. Portland’s oldest park at Congress and Franklin Streets was created in 1866. The park’s 1870 Parisian fountain was recently refurbished for the first time in 100 years and is now fully functional again, another milestone in the revitalization endeavor between Friends of Lincoln Park and the City of Portland. The fountain and lights represent the first use of electricity in the park!

2018’s focus is on securing 30 sponsors, through private and corporate participation, for new World Fair benches with personalized brass plaques, and the City-funded restoration of the 1866 iron fence, granite piers and elaborate gates.  Learn more at lovelincolnpark.org.

About Pandora LaCasse Design. Pandora’s lighting sculptures celebrate the physical space in which they’re located, and are created specifically to engage the surrounding community. Pandora’s winter installations in Portland include: Deering Oaks Park, Longfellow Square, Congress Square Park, Boothby Square, Tommy’s Park, Commercial Street, and now Lincoln Park.
