Workforce Housing Units in Portland For Sale & Rent

home funds CP

Know someone looking to buy a home in Portland? Did you know the City’s Planning & Urban Development Department works with developers to make some of their new homes priced for average incomes?

Right now there are three condominium units available for sale through this program. There will be others going forward, including single family homes. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, and getting on an email list for notifications, contact Victoria Volent, the City’s Housing Program Manager, at vvolent@portlandmaine.gov or 482-5028.

The City has also launched a new website to assist households with finding affordable rental units and properties for sale.  These are new units created through the City’s Inclusionary Zoning ordinance and are restricted to households that income qualify.  Along with searching current listings, you can also sign up to be notified of future housing opportunities.

Portland is proud to collaborate with the owners and developers of workforce housing. Please visit our new site and contact Victoria at vvolent@portlandmaine.gov or 482-5028 to learn more.
